Me: Gabbie, the attendance program says you're absent yet you are here.
Gabbie: I was absent for homeroom.
Me: But it still says you're absent; so, I'm going to treat you like you're not here today.
Gabbie: Good, if I'm not here, then I don't have to answer any questions.
Me: That was good!
